Agentic AI
Agentic AI refers to AI systems that work through tasks independently in several steps, rather than simply answering individual queries. Such an agent plans sub-steps, calls tools such as databases or APIs, checks intermediate results and corrects its course. One example is an agent that reviews a complaint, queries the order status and prepares a credit note. How it differs: a chatbot responds to an input, an agent pursues a goal across multiple steps.
