DAM (Digital Asset Management)

Digital Asset Management, or DAM for short, refers to the central management of digital media files such as images, videos, logos and documents. A DAM system makes files findable through metadata, manages versions, access rights and usage licences, and delivers approved assets to PIM, online shop and CMS. How it differs: cloud storage such as Google Drive stores files, a DAM manages them together with rights and approvals.
