Data Quality

Data quality describes how well data is suited to its intended purpose. It is assessed against criteria such as completeness, accuracy, timeliness, uniqueness and consistency. A customer address without a house number is incomplete, two records for the same person are not unique. How it differs: data quality is the measurable condition, data governance is the arrangement that determines who is accountable for it.
