End-to-end online business at GALERIA
GALERIA was not just about replacing PIM's own development with a standard system.

In addition to stationary retail, GALERIA also sells over 1.5 million of its own and marketplace items via its own online shop and thus serves product ranges such as clothing, home items, beauty and jewelry. Both worlds must be reconciled and, as part of the replacement of PIM in-house development in Q3 2024, work began to replace PIM in-house development by Syndigo with the help of Advellence and to transform product data management into a sustainable and sustainable end-to-end solution. From the outset, the focus was on data processes, from onboarding supplier data to transfer to the shop and order management.
Comprehensive transformation of data processes
GALERIA was not just about replacing PIM's own development with a standard system. From the outset, the project team focused on the entire digital value chain — with the new Syndigo PIM as a central application and data hub, but not as an isolated digitization initiative. In addition to article data, image information is just as important. To ensure that GALERIA is also future-proof here, it was decided to introduce a digital asset management system (DAM) from Sharedien.
In addition to large amounts of data, information management at GALERIA is particularly characterized by a high level of complexity. GALERIA sells both private brands, whose master data is maintained in the ERP system, and marketplace items whose product data is made available by suppliers. In order to make the onboarding of this data more efficient, Mirakl was added to GALERIA's system landscape as a new platform for marketplace items. This solution complements the existing Tradebyte solution and aligns GALERIA for the vision of expanding the marketplace business in the future.
