Advellence Implements Syndigo MDM at Denner

Initial Situation

The reasons for initiating the project were primarily rooted in the challenges the company faced due to the absence of a centralized orchestration of master data with varying quality levels — particularly regarding regulatory requirements. For example, regulations governing the traceability of product supply chains in the food sector must be strictly followed, and they have a significant impact on the specification process of product data within quality management.

In addition, there were several fundamental arguments in favor of introducing an MDM system at that time, such as establishing a 360° view of product data to enable effective and flexible digitalization of all processes — from article listing to the customer experience.

Targets

The goal of the project was to introduce an MDM platform capable of centrally managing and maintaining product, supplier, and store master data. The core objective was to consolidate all master data accessed by multiple systems within the MDM and thereby enable a true 360° view of the company’s most critical data.

This would not only improve data quality and transparency as well as overall organizational efficiency, but also map the entire listing process for new products within an integrated workflow solution. This process includes internal approval steps and product quality management.
