Victorinox and Advellence Launch Syndigo in Just Five Months

Initial Situation

Since the previously used PIM system could no longer meet growing requirements and rising license costs made the solution economically unfeasible, it was decommissioned. In the search for a new system, MDM capabilities, cost efficiency, and high scalability played a key role.

The choice of the future integration partner was also a decisive factor for the project leads at Victorinox when evaluating potential solutions.

Targets

The objective of the replacement project was to identify a system capable of covering additional data domains beyond product data in the future. The previous system did not support such a multi-domain approach, which significantly limited Victorinox’s data strategy.

At the same time, the new solution needed to provide a scalable foundation for sustainable business growth — placing corresponding demands not only on the technology itself but also on the implementation of data processes and on effective change management.
