The results of the Syndigo study “The State of Product Content 2024” summarized for you

This year, our partner and global PIM/MDM provider Syndigo has once again published its study ‘The State of Product Content 2024’. A total of 6,480 people aged 18 and over from France, Germany, the UK and the US were surveyed about their shopping behaviour and brand loyalty.

The survey results provide exciting insights into the importance of product content for the sales success of products. In this document, we therefore aim to summarise the most important findings from the study and provide manufacturers and retailers with valuable tips and recommendations on how they can sustainably increase conversion in their online channels and customer satisfaction.

Knowing what potential customers expect and what information they need to make their purchasing decisions is becoming increasingly important in the face of growing competitive pressure. Targeted and effective product communication is the goal – but implementation is anything but trivial. This is all the more true as the number of relevant communication channels continues to grow.

For manufacturers, this means that they must provide high-quality product content – not only for their own channels, but also for retail platforms. This, in turn, opens up more and more opportunities for manufacturers to position themselves in the competitive environment in a manner consistent with their brand, which offers opportunities but also places high demands on product content management.
